Parking sensor is a safety auxiliary device when the car is parking or reversing. It is composed of an ultrasonic sensor (commonly known as a probe), a controller, and a display (or buzzer). It can notify the driver of obstacles around by sound or a more intuitive display, which relieves the trouble caused by the driver’s front and rear visits when parking, reversing and starting the vehicle, and helps the driver to eliminate blind spots of vision and blurred vision Defects to improve driving safety.

The parking sensor probe is installed on the rear bumper, and the probe radiates at an angle of about 45 degrees to search for the target up, down, left, and right. Its biggest advantage is that it can detect obstacles that are lower than the bumper and difficult for the driver to see from the rear window, and call the police, such as flower beds, children squatting behind the car and playing.

When the gear lever is in reverse gear, the reversing radar automatically starts to work. When the probe detects an object behind it, the buzzer will give a warning. When the vehicle continues to reverse, the frequency of the warning sound will gradually increase, and finally it will become a long beep sound.


How to select the parking sensor?


1. In terms of quality: as a car product, the most important thing about reversing radar is to see whether its quality is excellent, the service provided by high-quality products is better, and the promised repair period is longer.

2. In terms of function: In terms of function, the reversing radar can be divided into LCK distance display, sound prompt alarm, position indication, voice prompt, automatic probe detection, etc. A fully functional reversing radar should have these functions.

3. Performance: The performance is mainly verified from the detection range, accuracy, display stability and speed of capturing the target. The detection range is at least 0.4 meters to 1.5 meters; the accuracy mainly depends on two aspects. Firstly, the display resolution is generally 10 cm. If it is better, it can reach 1 cm. Secondly, the detection error is the difference between the display distance and the actual distance. Error, the detection error of a good product is less than 3 cm; display stability refers to whether the obstacle can be captured and displayed stably when the obstacle reflection surface is not good; the capture target speed reflects the reversing radar’s effect on the moving object Capturing ability.
